Did you see Louis Garrel and Angelina Jolie’s recent sighting on the red carpet for the premiere of their movie “Couture” in Paris? Going by the way he appeared to devour her with his eyes, any one could assume something was brewing between them and would not be wrong! Judging by the fact that this guy prefers them older and beautiful… well!
Shall we talk about age for a moment?
First time I saw Louis Garrel was in the 2019 movie Little Women, a movie based on Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 novel of the same name. French, thick accent, darks curls, handsome face, and desirable.
I don’t usually talk about age. But it seems to me that we are in an era where more and more people are quite happy to dispense with age when it comes to relationships and marriage. To top it, the GenZ generation are really daring and do not mind hitting on GenZs, Millenials, and even Babyboomers!
10 years ago, most girls would not agree to date a guy who was even a day younger. And yet here we are in 2026, and younger men are not afraid to approach older women. Although such advances can spark apprehension, they can equally elicit wonder and excitement. And some younger dudes can be persistent!
It does not really help matters that Millenials and Baby Boomers alike simply refuse to ‘properly age forward’ or are ageing like fine wine. The situation seems worsened by rife real-life examples starting with:
Our own John Agyekum Kuffour v Theresah,
Priyanka v Nick Jonas,
Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden,
Aaron Taylor Johnson and Sam-Taylor Johnson (which really is THE outlier of outliers)
I won’t mention French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte. To mention a few.
There are a number of such ‘alternate’ realities in movies also, and my personal favourites include :
Encounter (for K-Drama Lovers),
Mama Bridgerton and Lord Anderson, in Bridgerton.
And hopefully maybe we may soon have Angelina Jolie and Louis Garrel! And what a treat that would prove to be.
The downside to this is that, in reality, most of the younger men are rather ill-composed, undiscerning, do nurse a superior sense of entitlement, may be unbecoming and at times downright weird. But let the true ready chaps win, alongside their leading ladies!! For to a few many, age really can be just a number!!

In my opinion, many young men who approach older women do so because they genuinely connect with them on a deeper level.
Some guys mature far beyond their age, especially in this fast‑paced world we find ourselves. With their peers, conversations can feel vague and superficial.
On the other hand, matured women often bring depth, and emotional intelligence, and that makes the connection feel more natural for these guys.
